Rob Bryan

Rob is an experienced Human Resources practitioner who has been providing consultancy advice for businesses since 2000. He formerly worked for Professional Personnel Consultants who were acquired by Croner CCH.

Rob has worked with over 100 organisations across a range of sectors including: manufacturing and engineering, transport and logistics, business services, retail, hi tech, research and development, estate management, healthcare, charities and the volunteer sector. These businesses range from small family businesses and ‘start ups’ to FTSE 250 firms.

Rob is an experienced management trainer who moved into Human Resources Management and Employment Law. He has gained recognition as a Fellow from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Rob is a Technical Member of the Institute of Safety and
Health (Tech IOSH).

Whilst developing consultancy skills, Rob obtained legal qualification and practiced as an advocate in employment tribunals. He won the Salans Law Prize in 2005 for an academic thesis on the Statutory Dispute Resolution Procedures. From 2005-2007 Rob worked ‘in house’ as Director of HR and Corporate Affairs with a London-based sales and marketing company. Rob believes that this experience has more fully equipped him to appreciate the needs and requirements of business owners, entrepreneurs and corporate directors.

Chris Manby

Chris has been providing human resources advice for over 30 years. He formerly worked for Professional Personnel Consultants who were acquired by Croner CCH in 2005. Chris left his Senior consultant role to join the RBA team in 2013. Chris is a member of the Chartered Institue of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Prior to moving into the consultancy field, Chris gained broad experience in various HR roles. He has worked in a number of different business sectors including engineering, travel, retail, financial and business support services.

Chris currently provides support to a wide variety of RBA clients located primarily in the East Midlands, East Anglia and Home Counties area.

Tracey Cater 


Tracey has over 25 years of experience as a frontline Human Resources practitioner, having worked in both private and not-for-profit sectors. She formally worked for Professional Personnel Consultants, who were acquired by Croner Consulting, as a Senior HR Consultant. Tracey is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)

Within this role, Tracey is responsible for the comprehensive and timely delivery of HR services to a client portfolio of over 50 businesses. Services include the provision of employment law advice on all aspects of employment law including disciplinary and grievance issues, TUPE, redundancy, absence management, family-friendly law and performance management.

Tracey advises clients by: planning tactical responses, drafting correspondence and documentation, providing support via telephone, email and on-site visits. She supports clients from the initial enquiry to the end, following investigations, hearings, appeal procedures and where necessary drawing up settlement agreements.

Tracey predominately supports clients in London and the South East.

Ian Marlow – Associate Health and Safety Consultant

Ian holds over 25 years’ generalist experience in H&S and Fire Safety having held previous positions at Croner Consulting, Epsom & Ewell Borough Council and J Sainsbury Plc.

Ian has extensive experience in auditing, writing and reviewing risk assessments and policies across a range of industries over the past 20 years including Retail, Logistics, Care Homes, Hotels, Leisure, Schools, Restaurants, Warehouse and Distribution, Domiciliary Care, Housing Associations, Care in the Community, Retirement Living, Pubs & Clubs, Office and more. Ian has also had previous experience of carrying out Food Hygiene Inspections and Disability Access Audits.

More recently, Ian has been involved in Facilities Management where he undertakes H&S, Fire and Environmental Assessments of Buildings, Retail and Business Parks, Industrial Estates, Residential premises and Vacant Properties.
